How was your Father's Day? I hope it was a special day for dad and that you relaxed and enjoyed it too.
We had a busy Father's Day weekend pampering dads, father in-laws and husbands!
I know you are comfortable receiving massage and spa services but there are some men who don't feel comfortable. That's why our in home spa service is a hit with the guys too! He can relax and rejuvenate in familiar surroundings.
If your guy is still hesitant, start him out with a hour long foot massage and scalp massage where he doesn't have to disrobe. Trust me, once he starts to unwind he'll get the hang of it and be joining you for treatments.
Now summer is in full swing, you are most likely preparing for your family vacation. With heightened airport security and gas price hikes, it can be more rewarding to stay home and enjoy a stay-cation. There are so many great things to see and do around Los Angeles, after all.
This was the thought of a new client who has just arranged for me and my team of 6 to provide spa treatments at his home for his big annual family reunion. He usually rents a house, three hours drive away but this year he decided to stay home and invite his family members to his home for a spa day! Their family consists of 3 little girls, 4 teens and 12 adults. We discussed a menu of spa services for everyone.
The little girls will receive chocolate or strawberry facials, mini manicures and pedicures. The teens will enjoy neck and shoulder massages, a reward for studying, deep cleansing facials and foot massages. The adults will relish full body massages, foot massages, manicures, pedicures and facials! I can't wait to see the faces of the little ones and hear the oohs and ahhhhs from the other family members as the tension melts away. What a great way to relax, bond and enjoy each others company.
Here's another stay-cation idea. If the kids are at camp for a couple of weeks, take advantage and create some quality time for you and your loved one and enjoy side by side massages. We bring fresh linens, music, candles and set up our massage tables on your deck, by your pool, in your living room or your bedroom. Just imagine, a whole day or evening to wind down and relax with no interruptions. Bliss. Just the two of you!
Let's not forget the graduates out there! Say well done and gift him or her with a relaxing spa treatment.
Make the time for yourself in a meaningful way. This balance of giving and receiving is essential to keeping your energy, mood and motivation at a consistently high level.

"Divine Intervention" from Serve the Goddess.
Spending the day being pampered at a spa is a fine thing indeed, but it's even more of an extravagance to be coddled in the comfort of your own home with a group of your closest friends. Serve the Goddess Mobile Spa Services strives to make the spa party experience an especially personalized and memorable one.
Helen and Allison arrived early to set up massage tables and the various accoutrements of relaxation. As the name implies, Serve the Goddess embraces the Greek deity theme. The spa offers a line of aromatherapy mists and oils with names like Aphrodite's Delight and Demeter's Retreat, and each attendee gets to choose a favorite scent to be incorporated into her treatments. We were each to receive a 30-minute full-body massage, plus our choice of a rejuvenating mini facial or a 30-minute foot reflexology treatment. But before the hands-on pampering began, Helen led us in a brief meditation. This helped us to achieve a state of calm and refocus our energy on the physical and spiritual rejuvenation to come.
The next couple of hours were all about indulgence. After 30 minutes of blissful Swedish bodywork, Helen went straight into the facial, using hot towels and all-natural concoctions to cleanse and moisturize the skin. Because this was a mini facial, there were no extractions to suffer through, so the treatment only deepened the sense of relaxation and well being fostered by the massage.
